So, it is February 1st, 2011, and I visit Fujitsu's website, and they still have the BIOS driver updates for my specific model T4310. See here:

Select: "Notebook PC" -> "T Series" -> "T4310"
The BIOS upgrade is still there and it still says in the readme file that it will solve your hibernation issues.
Also, I got an email from Fujitsu with an "estimate" to repair the damages, I wrote back telling them that their software update damaged my computer and I am not paying to repair anything.
They promptly responded and said they will see what they can do. Let's see if anything happens, and in the meantime, remember, don't buy a Fujitsu computer, buy a DELL, because DELL has a reputation for support.
